Our team wants to help you transform into a passionate and skilled instructor! How do we do this? By inspiring and preparing you with all our knowledge and experience. Through this, you can become a great instructor, ready for your professional diving career from the moment you’re certified.
For us, the IDC is more than just preparing you to pass the IE and delivering the required course content. We love to share our experience and passion for teaching people how to dive.
It is also incredibly important to us to have open discussions and brainstorming sessions on how to protect our beautiful underwater world.
We are also committed to coaching you more about the human factor in diving, so you will be prepared to deal with more challenging students.
Nancy – PADI Course Director
“Life is too important to be taken seriously”
Hi, my name is Nancy! I am originally from Germany, where I started to dive as a teenager. Now I’ve been calling Dahab my home for nearly 30 years, spending all my energy and passion in the diving industry.
Right from the very beginning, when I started to work as a diving instructor, I knew I wanted to carry on my passion to train instructors. In 2001, my dream came true and I achieved the PADI Course Director level. For the past 20 years, I have assisted more than 1,800 candidates to realise their dream of becoming a PADI Pro in teaching over 100 IDCs in Egypt, Spain and Italy.
During my professional career:
- I was recognised by PADI for my outstanding contribution and translation work on many PADI Course Director Training Courses in Malaysia.
- I received a recognition from PADI for my exceptional input in teaching PADI Instructors.
- I was chosen by PADI to review and field-test the new Divemaster Course and the new IDC curriculum.
- I achieved the Platinum Course Director level in PADI’s frequent trainer program.
- I was honoured by being featured in an article at H₂O Red Sea magazine (2007) about my work as PADI Course Director.
Roland – IDC Staff Instructor

Hi, my name is Roland! I am from the very south of Germany, but for many years I’ve lived in Dahab, where I work in the diving industry. I did my instructor course with Nancy and enjoyed the IDC so much, that I continued my education. Now I am an IDC Staff Instructor for the past five years and part of the IDC team. I love mentoring our instructor candidates.

Diving Centre & Facilities
Dahab Divers is a PADI 5* IDC Centre offering very high standard trainings in a beautiful palm tree garden right in the heart of the amazing Lighthouse dive site.
All the instructors you will meet working at Dahab Divers are trained through our IDCs, most of them up to IDC Staff Instructor level. They are happy to help and assist you during your IDC, and some of them will be working with you full time to develop your skills.
You will find your own private study area on our IDC balcony with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the palm tree garden. From there, you can learn and study in peace and quiet, but still see daily diving life going on.
During the IDC, we do all our training dives in the Lighthouse bay to familiarize you with the place, because this is where your Instructor Exam (IE) will be conducted.
