We include the Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) preperation into our IDC training.

You will be trained in 5 Instructor specialties and will be able to teach these as soon as you are certified as a PADI Instructor. After you have trained 25 students you can directly apply for your MSDT Instructor level with PADI.

The specialties you can choose from are: Nitrox, Deep, Emergency Oxygen Provider, Night, Naturalist, Wreck and Digital Underwater Imaging. Other Instructor Specialties can be done outside of the IDC.

This course is a prerequisite to becoming a PADI instructor and it is taught during the IDC.

The EFR Instructor course focuses on your teaching skills regarding the student-level EFR courses. Furthermore, you will get familiar with the standards and finetune your knowledge and practical skills. This includes CPR, Primary and Secondary care skills using an infant, junior and adult mannequin, as well as an Automated External Defibrillator.

To enroll in the EFR Instructor Course, you need to be certified as a student for EFR Primary Care, Secondary Care (certification no older than 24 months).

Play an important role in the PADI Instructor Development Course Team

During this course, you will learn more about the organization of the IDC and how to evaluate candidates’ presentations. Additionally, you will learn more about being a role model and coach for the candidates during the IDC. Achieving this level will allow you to teach PADI Assistant Instructors.

To enroll in the IDC Staff Instructor course, you need to be a PADI MSDT Instructor.
